A DRIVER was arrested after crashing into a water main whilst trying to evade police.
Officers from Worcestershire Operational Patrol Unit (OPU) spotted the Ford Mondeo in Barnt Green.
As they tried to pull over the car, the motorist failed to make a right turn and, instead, mounted the pavement and crashed.
The picture above – posted by police – shows the jet of water, the Ford Mondeo and the police vehicle after the crash.
Two people in the car were arrested as they tried to flee the scene.
The patrols were part of Operation Enzyme, West Mercia Police’s campaign to clamp down on car-key burglaries and vehicle thefts across north Worcestershire.
