TWO men charged with the murder of Bromsgrove Sporting footballer Cody Fisher have been remanded in custody after appearing at Birmingham Crown Court today.

Kami Carpenter, aged 21, of no fixed address, and Remy Gordon, aged 22, of Cofton Park Drive, Rednal,  were charged with murder and affray following 23-year-old Cody’s death at the Crane nightclub in Digbeth on Boxing Day.

The pair did not enter a plea to the murder charge but both pleaded guilty to the affray charge.

They were ordered to reappear at Birmingham Crown Court on Wednesday and a further hearing was also set for January 30.

A post-mortem examination confirmed school sports coach Mr Fisher died of a stab wound.

The Digbeth nightclub had its licence suspended following Mr Fisher’s death.
