Bromsgrove Editorial 1st May, 2022   0

RAIL users are being advised that there will be no trains today on the CrossCity Line between Birmingham New Street and Bromsgrove and Redditch.

Work is being carried out on the line so there will be rail replacement buses in operation.

As a result of the Birmingham Half Marathon and roadworks, there will also be some road closures in place in the Second City.

Rail replacement buses at Bournville and Northfield stations will pick up from alternative locations:

In Northfield, buses towards Birmingham will pick up from the bus stop adjacent with West Park Avenue. Buses towards Redditch / Bromsgrove will pick up from the bus stop before the junction with South Road (outside the Shell petrol station)

In Bournville buses will pick up / drop off from bus stops on Linden Road.

The train cancellations come as the 144 between Bromsgrove and Birmingham terminates at Catshill from today.

A new hourly 144A service – operated by National Express West Midlands – starts on Tuesday, May 3.
