DRIVERS in Bromsgrove are facing five weeks of traffic chaos when a main road is shut from Saturday, February 17.
The Whitford Road will be closed so Bellway Homes can carry out work on its development in the area.
Worcestershire County Council has granted permission for the works to be carried out between Monday and March 22.
A diversion has been put in place but there are fears it will lead to delays for motorists, particularly during the morning and evening rush hours.
A Worcestershire County Council spokesperson said: “All phases will include road closures around the area of the development, with clearly signed diversions in place.”
