DRIVERS are being urged to avoid the A38 in Catshill after a serious crash.
Police, fire and ambulance were called to the incident just before 10.50am this morning in between the junctions of Marlgrove Court and Barley Mow Lane.
The collision involved three vehicles, including one on a trailer.
Two people were injured but managed to get themselves out before the fire crew – from Bromsgrove – arrived.
An ambulance arrived on the scene within six minutes.
One man, who was driving one of the cars, was treated by West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics for minor injuries before being taken to Alexandra Hospital.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said firefighters ensured all the vehicles were safe before leaving the incident with the police and ambulance service.
The road is closed in both directions and traffic is building up.
Motorists have been urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
