DEMOLITION works at Lydiate Ash Depot on the M5 will lead to full road and lane closures in April.
The works, carried out by National Highways, will see a salt barn demolished and rebuilt. For the work to be carried out, there will be full closures of the A491 eastbound and the M5 northbound entry slip at junction 4. There will also be lane closures on the Lydiate Ash Interchange.
The closures will take place overnight between 8pm and 6am on Monday and Tuesday, April 3 and 4.
Access to frontages will be maintained throughout. Emergency vehicles will also have access.
Diversion routes will be clearly signposted.
The project is designed to provide safer access to and from the depot for traffic operators and large goods vehicles, allowing them more room to manoeuvre and improving visibility of oncoming traffic.
National Highways is encouraging people to plan ahead and go to nationalhighways.co.uk/our-roads/west-midlands/west-midlands-maintenance-schemes/ to see diversion routes and keep up to date with maintenance changes.
