DRIVERS heading to Kidderminster are being warned about road closures due to a huge factory fire in Kidderminster.

More than 20 fire engines are in attendance at the blaze which broke out on the Hoo Farm Industrial Estate.

As well as more than 80 firefighters from across the county, West Mercia Police are also in attendance.

The Hoobrook roundabout is shut with closures from the Stourport end of Wilden Lane, Chester Road South by the viaduct and the ringway junction at the Worcester Road roundabout.

The A449 is shut between the Hoobrook roundabout and the junction of the A442 Droitwich Road.

Smoke can be seen clearly from Bromsgrove and other surrounding towns and, as well as avoiding the roads in the area, people are asked to keep doors and windows closed if they are within the area of the plume.
