THE BROMSGROVE Carnival gets under way on Friday with two days of fun for all the family.
An enchanting outdoor cinema night takes place in Sanders Park on Friday with screenings of Encanto at 5pm followed by Grease at 8pm and live music in between.
There will also be live music and food and drink on offer from local vendors.
Then at 12pm on Saturday, the Carnival Parade – with a ‘Magic of the Movies’ theme – starts at North Bromsgrove High School, journeying down School Drive, The Strand, Market Street and the Kidderminster Road en route to the arena in Sanders Park.
In the park will be performances in the bandstand, a host of community, charity and business stalls stalls, along with a food village from Social Eats.
There will also be a live music stage and an appearance from Mark Williams, renowned for his roles as Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter films and as Father Brown in the hit BBC TV series.
He will present the awards to the winners of the ‘best float’ and ‘best walking parade entry’.
Event organiser Natalie Holland said: “We are thrilled to present the Bromsgrove Carnival, a celebration of community spirit and support for local charities.
“Our aim is to bring joy to families, promote local talent, and make a positive impact on our community.
“By supporting charities such as Primrose Hospice, Rose and Daisy Foundation, and the Friends of St Johns, we are contributing to the well-being of our
neighbours.
“We invite everyone to join us in creating cherished memories while supporting these worthy causes.”
All proceeds will go to local charities, including the Primrose Hospice, Rose and Daisy Foundation and the Friends of St Johns.
