A FRENCH film will becoming to the big screen when Bromsgrove Town Twinning Association holds its annual movie night, writes Shivani Chaudhari.

Le Concert – which will have English subtitles – will be shown at Bromsgrove Sporting’s Rousler Bar at 7.30pm on Tuesday, February 11, to honour the 25th anniversary of the official twinning with Saint Sauveur Lendelin,

The film tells a story of a Russian maestro who triumphs to victory despite losing his position as a conductor of Bolshoi orchestra when he refuses to sack his Jewish and gypsy players.

The association has a number of other events planned throughout the year, including BIL’s annual dinner with a French menu on March 28 at the New Cofton Village Hall.

From May 23 to 26, the spring bank holiday, the group will visit Normandy.

Members and non-members are invited to the annual movie night.
