THREE people were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting after reversing into an police armed response vehicle (ARV) as they tried to make their escape.
Officers from Worcestershire’s Operational Policing Unit (OPU) made the arrests in Hagley.
The trio were suspected of taking items from the Welcome Break motorway services at Junction 4 of the M54 in Telford.
They have now been taken into custody.
