Three men carry out unprovoked attack on youth in Rubery in what police believe could be a case of mistaken identity

THREE MEN carried out an unprovoked attack on a youth in Rubery last night.

The incident happened between 11pm and midnight on New Road.

The trio, two wearing balaclavas, attacked him from behind, kicking him in the back and verbally threatening to harm him.

It is thought it could have been a case of mistaken identity.




The victim was followed onto steps that lead to the Callowbridge alleyway which comes out onto New Road.

After the attack the three ran off.


The first man was in his early 20s, 5ft 11ins tall and of slim build. He was wearing a balaclava, black long sleeved top, dark trousers, black and orange work gloves.

The second was in his late 20s, was also 5ft 11ins tall and of large build. He wore a black padded leather bike jacket with red logo on the chest, and black and red leather biker gloves with plastic knuckle protection.

The third man wore a balaclava and dark clothing.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
