A SILVER Mini Countryman stolen from Droitwich was used in a burglary in Cofton Hackett before being stung outside Bromsgrove and recovered.

The car was taken in a car-key burglary from the driveway of a property in Showell Grove overnight between Wednesday and Thursday last week.

Then around 10pm on Thursday night four Asian men, who forced their way into a property in Groveley Lane, Cofton Hackett, by snapping the locks, are believed to have put the vehicle on false plates.

Officers from Worcestershire Operational Policing Unit pursued and caught up with the Mini using a stinger to bring it to a standstill.

Three people decamped from the car and were arrested by the officers and the Mini was then recovered.
