A SINGER-songwriter with an inspirational life story is heading to Father’s Barn in Rubery this Friday, March 6.

Philippa Hanna is big on the Christian gospel scene and has supported some high profile acts including Little Mix, The Kingdom Choir and Lionel Richie.

Since her first public performance with an acoustic guitar in 2007 she has released five albums, a live DVD and has had two autobiographical books published on her.

She has notched up more than 1,000 live performances in 25 countries in the past decade, featured on Songs of Praise, BBC Introducing and Radio 2.

Philippa has also proved what can be achieved by an independent artist with help from an army of fans.

Her music draws on her turbulent youth and is inspired by her finding the Christian faith in 2004.

She will be performing an acoustic set with her husband at 7.30pm on Friday, March 6.

Rafters Cafe will be serving food and refreshments.

For tickets, email Emma at [email protected] or call her on 07974 375104.
