THIS CAR pulled over by police in Frankley was in such a dangerous condition that officers prevented it from being driven any further.

The stop was made by officers from Worcestershire Operational Policing Unit.

On inspection they found the two front tyres had little or no tread, the bodywork was rusting and the driver was unable to open the bonnet.

The motorist will be receiving three points on their licence per tyre.

Following the incident the police have warned drivers to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy before every journey.
