A MEMBER of Bromsgrove Swimming Club (BSC) is one of just 430 in the country in the 13 to 14-year-old category to be selected for Swim England National Development Programme.
Krystof Wood joined BSC in 2016 at the age of eight and has progressed rapidly since then.
Head coach Matt Lowe described him as a ‘lovely lad who works hard at everything he does’, adding Krystof was a pleasure to coach, taking feedback on board and putting the suggestions into practice.
“He has a desire to get better and to do things right.
“Everything he does is high quality and that is what has got him here.
“He understands the demands of achieving things at a high level whether it’s educationally or in sport and we are very proud of his achievement and his contribution to our club.”
The club’s chair Emily Turner said: “Krystof has always been a great team player for us, we compete in a lot of team galas as well as individual performance racing and he has always encouraged his teammates and motivates them to do their best.”
“As he has progressed to one of our senior members it is great to see him helping out with the younger members who are just starting out on their swimming journey.”
