A TEENAGE boy has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after his bicycle collided with a car in Longbridge last night.
West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to reports of the collision on Coombes Lane at 9.56pm. The service sent two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and a critical care paramedic.
An ambulance spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find bystanders, including an off-duty medic, caring for a teenage boy who had suffered serious injuries following a collision with a car.
“Following emergency treatment at the scene by ambulance staff, he was then transported to Birmingham Children’s Hospital for further assessment.”
