Tabletop sale to raise funds for Blackwell animal sanctuary

A TABLETOP sale is being held on Saturday, August 1, to raise funds for an animal sanctuary hit hard by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Covid-19 has impacted on Hillfields Animal Sanctuary in Blackwell, as all the events it usually has a stall at have been cancelled.

And over the past four months the centre has taken in a variety of animals, including sheep, goats, ducks, geese, horses, pigs, rabbits and birds, leading to bigger overheads.

The only fund-raising it stream it has had is through online auctions.

The tabletop sale will be held from 11am on Saturday at the sanctuary’s front gate on Greenhill.

Everyone is welcome to go along and browse, whilst ensuring they observe social-distancing.
