STUDENTS from Catshill Middle School performed to sell-out crowds when they staged Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Pupils from all four year groups, aged between nine and 13, were involved in the production and worked hard rehearsing before the run earlier this month.
Executive headteacher Paul Essenhigh said: “The energy, enthusiasm and talent on display was second to none and certainly it is fair to say that ‘Catshill has got talent.
“This oozed from all the performers whether they were Wonka, Charlie or an Umpalumpa and we hope that many of these students will continue with the love of drama, the arts and acting in particular.”
Many previous students have also thrived in high school productions after moving on.
Mr Essenhigh added: “The commitment demonstrated by the staff team each week to make this happen was amazing and the students asked that this should be noted.”
He also thanked The David Morgan Trust which has been an avid supporter of these events at Catshill over the years.
“We wish all students the best for show 2024 whatever that may be.”
