Suspect wanted for serious offences arrested on the M5 near Frankley

A SUSPECT wanted for two serious offences by police was arrested overnight after being spotted on the M5 near Frankley.

A TPAC manoeuvre was used between Frankley Services and Junction 3 to bring the vehicle to a standstill and avoid a high-speed pursuit.

A TPAC sees highly trained officers pull their cars alongside and in front of a suspect vehicle to get it to stop.

The vehicle was spotted by eagle-eyed officers from West Mercia Police’s Dogs Unit and officers from Worcestershire Operational Policing Unit (OPU) were involved in the stop and arrest




The driver whi was taken into custody is wanted by West Midlands Police.
