THE PRIMROSE Hospice has issued a rallying call to residents to get involved in the charity’s annual ‘Yellow Week’ which this year will run from June 17 to 23.
People are being urged to organise events throughout the seven days – whether with family, friends, work colleagues, clubs or school mates – and raise cash and awareness of the hospice and its family support centre.
Whether people want to hold yellow-themed bake sales, fancy dress parties, dress down days or dunk each other in a bath of custard, the charity wants to hear from them.
Primrose Hospice fundraiser Lucy Perkins said: “We so look forward to Yellow Week, it gives us the chance to get out and about amongst the community and local businesses who support us throughout the year.
“Not only do we have a great week of fantastic fundraising activities going on, but it also gives us a chance to really showcase the work we do here at the hospice, so people are aware of the vital services we provide.”
