THERE will be music in the air at Bromsgrove Methodist Church when the latest Love Music programme for people living with dementia takes place, writes Roman Filkin.

From 1.45pm on Tuesday, July 23, the lively Kel Elliot Band will be performing toe-tapping music, along with witty stories.

The project is part of the ‘Suitcase Stories’, a music and reminiscence project being held in partnership with Museums Worcestershire and Arts Uplift CIC.

Musicians have been creating new songs from memories supplied by the people of Worcestershire and performing them at dementia cafes.

Arts Uplift’s director Jenny Davis said: “We are quickly whizzing through this year’s programme and people are loving the performances and it’s so great to see people’s smiling faces as they leave.

“If anyone wants to donate towards the project we are always open to ideas.”

Tickets are £2.50 per person and can be bought on the day.
