äA STOLEN vehicle was seized by police in Wythall at 1.50am yesterday morning.
Officers on the night shift spotted the blue Ford Focus with two people in it on the Alcester Road.
After they pulled it over the pair decamped and forced entry into a property in a bid to escape.
The two were located and taken into custody on suspicion of the theft after checks suggested the vehicle was stolen.
Police also searched them for items linked to the crime.
The Focus was seized and has been taken off for forensic examinations.
During the same shift, officers responded to reports of suspicious activity where people were wandering up and down Oakwood Road, Hollywood, Wythall on foot.
Marked and unmarked vehicles got there within five minutes and searched the area but there was no sign of the suspects.
PC Danny Fulford said it was a busy night shift with him covering 100miles between 10pm on Thursday and 7am on Friday.
