POLICE have issued a warning to carry out proper checks before purchasing a vehicle after a stolen caravan bought by an innocent purchaser was recovered in Belbroughton.
The stolen caravan was recovered on the afternoon of May 12 by West Mercia Police’s Operational Patrol Unit (OPU Worcestershire).
A spokesperson from OPU Worcestershire said: “Unfortunately, the caravan had been bought by an innocent purchaser. Goes to show the benefit of doing proper checks and if the price is too good to be true, there’s a reason for it.”
