ST.MODWEN has announced their initial proposals to transform the MG Longbridge site to create up to 1,000 new jobs and up to 695 homes.
The plans will be available for the public to view online via a virtual exhibition from Tuesday 15th June 2021 until Tuesday 29th June 2021.
Elliot Sellars, development director at St. Modwen said: “It is important to us, just as it will be important to the local community, to make sure these proposals deliver the jobs, open public space and homes Longbridge needs in a way that helps the area build back better.
“Our proposals for the MG Longbridge site aim to recognise the wonderful history of this area, retaining a number of heritage buildings and transforming them into the workspaces of the future.
Alongside this, we will be seeking to deliver homes for future generations, to enable more people to live and work locally with access to the wide range of amenities readily available in Longbridge Town Centre.”

The site of the former ‘Mini’ car assembly line will be transformed into a green and tranquil new district of Longbridge.
Heritage buildings, where the Mini was conceived and created, are being incorporated into the proposals and will offer a variety of quality workspaces, from studios and maker spaces to offices and co-working environments, for a wide range of businesses.
The proposal will deliver a modern working environment with flexible community space and units for small businesses and start-ups alongside a diverse mix of high-quality homes enabling people to work and live in Longbridge.
St. Modwen is inviting the local community to view the initial proposals online at www.regeneratinglongbridge.co.uk where feedback can be submitted until Tuesday 29th June 2021.
Longbridge will be one of the largest regeneration schemes in the UK and will see St. Modwen make major progress towards delivering 10,000 new jobs and 2,800 new homes across this nationally significant brownfield site.
