ST JOHN’S Middle School were crowned champions of the girls under 13’s Worcestershire County Schools Cup after beating Parkside 1-0 in the final.
Millie Parker scored the only goal of the game with a superb strike shortly before half time while both goalkeeper made a number of impressive saves.
The girls worked extremely hard to ensure they were victorious after finishing as runners-up last year.
St John’s thrashed Wolverley 7-2 in the quarter-finals and then beat Droitwich High 5-2 in the semi-finals.
Miss Kendall said: “I’m very proud of all the girls for their determination and the way in which they represented St John’s.”
