A SPACE for people who have sadly experienced the loss of a baby will be available at St John’s Church in Bromsgrove between 5pm and 6pm next Sunday, October 15.
The event is open to everyone and provides an opportunity for them to reflect, remember and name their child in the beauty of the historic church.
Rev Ray Khan from St John’s Church said: “In the past this simple service has brought comfort to many couples and families.
“I can remember a mother who was able for the first time to grieve and name the baby she lost over 20 years ago.
“We need times when together we remember our loss and travel with others on that journey.
“I hope this space can provide that for parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters.”
There will be music and people will be able to sit and remember and get the opportunity to place the name of their baby on the butterfly tree and light a candle.
The church will be open for an hour and people are free to come and go as they wish.
