South Bromsgrove High School working with Public Health England after confirmed Covid-19 case

A PUPIL at South Bromsgrove High School has tested positive for Covid-19.

The school was contacted by Public Health England (PHE) about the case last Wednesday, September 16, and wrote to parents and carers the same evening.

It the letter the school stated it was working with PHE and the school was remaining open.

It added for most people Coronavirus was a mild illness and offered advice to parents about what to do if their child displayed Covid-19 symptoms.




Dr Kathryn Cobain, Director for Public Health for Worcestershire said: “An individual from South Bromsgrove High School has tested positive for Covid-19.

“This case was quickly identified, and the school is being supported by Public Health.


“Additional measures have been put in place to protect the school and help minimise any further disruption.

“Close contacts have been identified and traced, they are now also self-isolating for 14 days in line with guidance and will continue their learning through remote access.”
