A TRIO of South Bromsgrove High School teachers are going above and beyond for charity, writes Catherine Reston.
Ian Medlicott, deputy headteacher, will take on various cycling events in memory of colleague and friend David Fletcher, raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support in the future.
Notably he will take part in The Two Ton Tour in July which covers 200 miles over two days and includes 20,000ft of climbing over the Cambrian Mountains.
Claire Wilkin-Mead, business studies teacher, and Hannah Talbot, assistant headteacher, have both taken part in their first London Marathon, with Hannah raising funds for Children with Cancer.
Claire ran the marathon to raise money for MS and to support her father, who was diagnosed three years ago.
