SOUTH Bromsgrove High School students were given an insight into the possible future look of the town when they welcomed three officers from Bromsgrove District Council’s town planning department.

Students spent the day taking part in a series of activities including a board game where they had to understand the viewpoints of various Bromsgrove residents and stakeholders.

Bromsgrove District Council representatives Claire Holmes, Rebecca Brown and Matt Stanczyszy then asked the pupils for their opinions on issues such as housing, employment, transport, social infrastructure and the environment.

South Bromsgrove High’s deputy head James Siddle said: “Student voice is very important to us at South Bromsgrove and it was fantastic to observe our students contributing ideas which could have an impact on Bromsgrove’s development in the future.”

Claire Holmes, from Bromsgrove District Council, added: “The students were really engaged and had some great comments to make.”
