MEMBERS of the South Birmingham Stroke Club stepped back in time on Wednesday for to celebrate VE Day 80.
The afternoon tea party featured drinks, sandwiches and, of course, cake.
Vintage singer Helen Pearson from Bromsgrove took to the stage and played a number of wartime classics and music from the 1940s.
Carole Lowe, the stroke group’s secretary, said: “It was a fantastic afternoon – everyone who came along had a great time celebrating the VE Day anniversary and going back to the 1940s.”
The South Birmingham Stoke Club meets from 10am to 12pm every Wednesday at Reaside Community Centre, Ormond Road, Frankley.
