FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a massive blaze which broke out at the MG Rover building in Longbridge.
Smoke could be seen bellowing for miles around with pictures being posted of the incident on social media.
Six engines, including crews from Northfield, Kings Norton, Woodgate Valley, Haden Cross, Billesley and Oldbury fire stations, attended the incident in Low Hill Lane at 4pm yesterday (Thursday). A 4×4 brigade response vehicle also attended.
This was a fire affecting a stack of pallets in a yard at a vehicle centre.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire. They were supported by drone operations.
An exterior wall in a nearby warehouse sustained minor heat damage.
There were no casualties or injuries at this incident.
Firefighters left the scene at 8.40pm after a thorough check of the site.
