Show kindness and compassion this festive season - A Christmas message from Bromsgrove Council Chairman

Bromsgrove Editorial 22nd Dec, 2025   0

CHRISTMAS started for me when I was honoured to be asked to turn on the Christmas lights for Bromsgrove.

We were treated to a laser display which could be seen throughout Bromsgrove High Street.

My year so far, as Chair of Bromsgrove District, has been full of such proud moments.

Not least these include meeting our amazing community groups and organisations which work tirelessly for the benefit of Bromsgrove residents.

I have also been working alongside local charity, the Basement Project, to help raise funds and awareness for the great work it does in helping to tackle and prevent homelessness and rough sleeping, along with providing opportunities to young people.

Christmas time is no exception and can be when people need help and support from others more than ever.

While Christmas is a time for friends and family to celebrate together, for others it can be a lonely time and it’s important we show kindness and compassion to them.

However you are celebrating this time, I’d like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and all the very best for 2026.

Coun Sam Evans

Bromsgrove District Council Chairman
