SHOPPERS in Rubery can win an extra treat whilst collecting their essentials on Blue Monday (January 18).
Jack’s Supermarket is giving away vouchers to customers to help lift their January blues.
Blue Monday marks the third Monday in January which is thought to be the ‘bluest’ day of the year.
Residents will be randomly selected to win a Jack’s monetary voucher, ready to spend on their next shop.
Ryan Bird, manager at the New Road supermarket, said: “We hope the vouchers we’ll be handing out will put a smile on the faces of our customers this Blue Monday.
“It’s very tough at the moment for everyone so we wanted to offer a little joy to our regular customers and hopefully ease those January blues.”
Jack’s supermarket has put a number of additional safety measures in place to keep customers and colleagues safe during this time.
These include social distancing, wider aisles, regular cleaning and hand sanitiser available on entrance and exit.
