BROMSGROVE residents looking to start the new year by learning something new can look no further than Artrix.
A series of fun and creative workshops will be available throughout the month including dance and movement, singing, Pilates, youth theatre and more.
The classes will kick off on Tuesday, January 9, with a drawing workshop from 10am to 12pm where participants with an eye for all things art can learn a range of techniques to make their very own masterpiece.
From 10.15am to 11.15am, movers and shakers over the age of 55 can take part in Chance to Dance, an exercise-based class to increase flexibility and strength with music from the past and present.
‘Silver Singers’ can take part in a singing class for over 55s with an experienced vocal coach from 1.30pm to 3pm.
On Thursday, January 11, young singers aged five to nine can get involved in the Little Songstars Songchoir from 6pm, and children aged ten to 16 can take part in the Songstars Junior Showchoir from 7pm.
From 8pm, singers aged 16 and over can join in with the Songstars Adult Showchoir.
To end the first week of workshops, on January 13, Artrix Youth Theatre Seniors will be offering youngsters aged six to 16 the chance to focus on performance, improvisation, writing and various acting techniques.
The workshops will continue throughout January with the addition of adult ballet, Pilates, family yoga, Dancefit, belly dancing and photography.
