A RUNAWAY dog gave police and Highways England staff the runaround for more than six hours before being captured on the motorway near Bromsgrove.

Luna (pictured) was sighted on highways cameras and fears were growing for the animal’s safety.

Eventually they managed to bring the pursuit to a happy conclusion.

Officers from Worcestershire Operational Policing Unit, which were involved in the chase with their Highways England counterparts posted this picture on Twitter, adding: “Now safe with mum and dad. Back home for a Bonio (other treats are available).”
