RUBERY’s Grazia Academy of Dance and Acrobatics Arts dance school will be heading to Braga in Portugal this week to represent England at the finals of the 2023 Dance World Cup.

In 2021, Grazia won gold for their Large Acro troupe and were invited to perform at the Dance World Cup Gala, also coming runner-up at the 2022 competition for their Small Acro troupe performance.

This year, Grazia have qualified to represent England in the Children’s and Juniors Small and Large acro troupes and Junior Acro Soloist.

Grazia pupils, all aged between seven and 16, teachers and families have been tirelessly fund-raising for the last few months to help pay the competition fees, raising over an incredible £10,000.

A spokesperson said: “The support from the community has been amazing, and we want to thank everyone who donated any money to us to get these young talented dancers to Portugal.”
