A RUBERY singer will be featured on new ITV talent show Walk The Line tonight.
Lisa-Marie Holmes has previously won the Search For A Star contest at the Austin Social and featured in a host of musicals, including Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Rent and Keep Dancing with Robin Windsor from Strictly.
She has performed her own show all over the world and on cruise ships and is currently the under-study for the three main roles in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.
She told The Standard: “I was asked to apply after someone saw one of my videos.
“At the time we were all in lockdown and I thought ‘I’ll give it a go’.
“I didn’t think I would hear anything back and then I was invited in for an audition and made it onto the show on the strength of it.”
Walk The Line is billed as a ‘high octane musical game show’ and the ‘ultimate ‘winner stays on’ it features a star-studded panel including Take That star and singer-songwriter Gary Barlow, Alesha Dixon, comedian and Vicar of Dibley lead Dawn French and Craig David.
The series began on Monday and sees five acts up against each other.
The one judged to be the winner on the night can leave with £10,000 or ‘stay on’ and compete the following night against new contestants with the the ultimate aim of lasting until Friday when the overall winner will take home £500,000.
