A SPECIAL ceremony to remember those who lost their lives from Covid-19 and to highlight the tremendous work undertaken by key workers during the pandemic took place today (December 9) in Rubery.
The service was led by the Chairman of Bromsgrove District Council, Coun Rod Laight, in St Chad’s Park.
Councillors and members of the public mustered at 9.30am for a moment of reflection, a plaque reveal and the planting of a tree.
Coun Laight said: “Thank you to everyone in Rubery who came out on this cold morning.
“It has been a very emotive time over the past two years, and no family was untouched.
“It is a very poignant moment and a very important memorial for us to pay our respects.”
