A RUBERY charity shop is urging residents who have spare time on their hands to volunteer and help raise money for the village’s sick an injured pets.

The PDSA store on New Road is looking for people to share their expertise in areas, such as antiques, fashion, retail and driving.

Young people can also use the experience for their CVs or the Duke of Edinburgh.

And the shop is holding a special open day between 10am and 3pm on Thursday, March 1, where people can find out more.

Visit www.pdsa.org.uk/volunteer-opendays or call Lynda Clifton on 0121 453 8200 for more on the roles and the open day.
