Rotary Club of Lickey Hills celebrates 50th anniversary

Bromsgrove Editorial 5th Dec, 2022   0

THE ROTARY Club of Lickey Hills celebrated its 50-year anniversary.

All the club’s members visited founder Mike Bennett’s house and unveiled a certificate from Rotary International (RI) Director Nicky Scott and a letter of congratulations from RI President Jennifer Jones.

Two of the club’s members – President John Atkinson and Mike Bennett – were founder members back in 1972 and they were presented with individual certificates and letters.

To make the anniversary even more special the club also presented Mike and John with Paul Harris Sapphire Awards.

President John said he was determined to keep up the club’s impressive record of supporting charities—both local and International and to make sure there was just as much to celebrate in another 50 years’ time when the club would be celebrating its centenary.
