LAST Wednesday (June 8th) the Rotary Club of Lickey Hills took 12 students and five staff from Victoria Special School to ‘Kids Out’ at Drayton Manor Park.
This is a day when the park opens its doors to Rotary Clubs from across the West Midlands so that they can bring thousands of students for a much deserved day out.
The adrenalin junkies had their fill of being dropped from great heights, hurtling at high speed through tight turns, travelling upside-down, or getting soaking wet.
At the same time that all this was going on the club representatives – John and Jonathan – had a nice walk around and several cups of coffee.
John Atkinson said: “Seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces and hearing their excited stories about what they’d been up to makes it all worthwhile.
“A good time was had by one and all.”
