Romsley set to be rocking with the 'biggest and best ever' Romstock Festival

Bromsgrove Editorial 5th Jun, 2019 Updated: 14th Jun, 2019   0

ROMSLEY will be rocking on Saturday, June 15, when the biggest and best ever Romstock Festival will take place.

Last year’s event was attended by more than 2,000 people who were treated to a host of live entertainment.

The event gets under way at 12pm at the Romsley Playing Field on St Kenelms Road.

Kicking the day off will be The Jam DRC, followed by ‘Bhangra Smash up’, Bromsgrove girls ‘Strictly ABBA’, the insane ‘Uncleiansaudiocircus’, punk and new wave covers band ‘Vaseline’, led by Giovanni ‘Spoz’ Esposito.

After that will be Blondie tribute ‘Heart of Class’, Paul Shakespeare’s ‘Elvis, soul and blues band ‘Ratlesnake Jake’ and ultimate party band ‘Supernova’.

The main stage will be covered by the green gazebo which has become synonymous with the event since it was first staged eight years ago.

People can take along their own drinks, as long as they are not in glass bottles and there will be various food outlets on-site, along with bouncy castles, a skate park and children’s play area.

Wristbands are available for £15 and a family ticket – for £32 – are available in advance from the Romsley Co-op.

All profits go to youth community projects in the Romsley parish.
