STAFF at Bromsgrove’s Churchill Retirement Living held Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed bake-off competitions and raffles for Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning recently.
Lodge managers, owners and colleagues dressed in Willy Wonka outfits and sold their delicious cakes and hot drinks to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Buntsford Drive business helped add to the £35,000 pot which was given to the charity by the Churchill Foundation.
Spencer McCarthy, Chairman and CEO of Churchill Retirement Living, said: “It was great to be involved once again in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
“The events are not only a fantastic way to raise money for a very worthy cause but also an opportunity to get our colleagues and the local community together.
“I’d like to thank everyone involved for helping us to raise such an impressive total yet again this year.”
The money raised will make a big difference towards improving the lives of those living with cancer, helping to provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support.
Churchill Retirement Living has a special relationship with Macmillan Cancer Support and has raised more than £350,000 for the charity since 2009.
