‘RED HOT rhythm and blues and scintillating ska and blue beat’ will be coming to Fairfield Village Hall at 8pm tomorrow night (Saturday, October 22) when Ricky Cool and the In Crowd take to the stage.
Billed as serving up ‘a gorgeous gumbo of sounds, similar to those found in the clubs of Soho in the early years of Mod mania’, the band will be performing a variety of original songs and classics which will have people itching to dance.
It is the latest event organised by Fairfield Flicks.
Ricky Cool fronted one of Birmingham’s most popular combos – the legendary Ricky Cool and the Icebergs.
Ricky has toured with the likes of Billy Connolly, shared a stage with George Harrison and played alongside Robert Plant. He is recognised as one of the most entertaining front men in the business.
The band members are all top class musicians with excellent pedigrees, who have worked with artists including Ruby Turner, The Beat, Carina Round, Linda Perry and Fine Young Cannibals.
Ricky said: “The music we play is timeless and our show is enjoyed by young and old alike.
“The enjoyment we have on stage rubs off on our audience and a great time is had by one and all.”
