GRAND and merry plans for Bromsgrove’s Christmas lights switch-on have been revealed.
The festive season will start in the town on Saturday, November 18, when the Friends of St John’s Christmas market will line the High Street with stalls.
Bromsgrovians will be able to listen to many a Christmas classic while enjoying the festive funfair rides.
The two-hour switch-on celebrations will begin at 3.30pm with street theatre and singers on the main stage.
The festivities, including music from the Indie Club, will continue until 9.30pm, while delicious seasonal treats and drinks will be available at Birdbox from midday.
The market will run between 9am and 6pm on the day, but will officially open the day before (Friday, November 17).
Friends of St John’s Chairman Jo Slade said: “It is great to see the High Street bustling as we host these festivities and I am sure this year will be no exception.”
