REVEALED - Bromsgrove Beer and Cider Festival dates and chosen charity

Bromsgrove Editorial 4th Jun, 2023 Updated: 12th Jun, 2023   0

THIS YEAR’s Bromsgrove Beer and Cider Festival will take place between June 29 and July 1.

And the organisers, Redditch and Bromsgrove Branch of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale), have announced Avoncroft Museum has been chosen as the charity for the 2023 festival.

The festival at Bromsgrove Rugby Club will boast 140 beers plus over 50 ciders and perries.

As well as Avoncroft getting a chance to promote its work and activities, festival goers can donate their unspent drinks tokens to the charity.

Responding to the announcement, Avoncroft Museum Director, Zoe Willems, said: “It’s great that the Bromsgrove Beer and Cider Festival has chosen Avoncroft Museum as their charity for this year’s festival!

“We have so many stories connected with the ancient craft of beer, cider and perry making, and it’s good to bring these stories right up to date with modern local producers.

“And with museums like ours struggling like never before, all funds raised for us during the festival will help us keep our doors open, look after our heritage, and keep telling these stories for generations to come.”

At the Avoncroft stall, people can meet Rob and the volunteers to find out more about the venue, what’s on there and how to get involved as a volunteer.

There will also be a raffle with some great prizes and a lucky dip for the little ones. We look forward to seeing you, and thanks for all your support!”

The 2023 festival logo (pictured above) is a representation of the Danzey Green Windmill which is located at the museum.

Opening times are Thursday (June 29) from 2pm to 6pm (card carrying CAMRA members and trade only), 6pm to 11pm for the public on Thursday. On Friday (June 30) the festival opens from midday to 11pm and between 11am and 9.30pm on the Saturday (July 1).
