OFFICERS are urging residents to be vigilant after a burglary and attempted burglary in Bromsgrove.

In the early hours of Friday (December 9), an unknown person entered a house on Crossley Walk through a first floor window.

It is believed they then opened the front door so three other offenders could enter the property.

Two TVs, a mobile phone and an Xbox console were stolen and one of the offenders is reported to have punched the victim in the face before all four fled the property in an unknown direction.

On the same day in Crossley Walk, a man attempted to gain entry into a property by sitting on a windowsill and telling the victim to open the window.

Three men then appeared outside the window and all four men are understood to have gone round to the front door.

One of the men is reported to have kicked the door before using a baseball bat to hit the door.

Entry was not gained, nothing was taken and the men left the area shortly afterwards.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who was in the area or who noticed anyone acting suspiciously at the time of either incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 quoting incident 066S of December 9.
