RESIDENTS at Chandler Court hosted a garden party fit for royalty to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
Youngsters from Castle Nursery were invited to join in for an afternoon of outdoor games and fun.
Team members made sure that the garden was awash with Union Jacks, bunting and balloons.
There was a Jubilee themed buffet for everyone to tuck into as well as an ice cream van to grab a tasty treat from.
And maintenance team member Ian Guise acted as DJ for the day, playing classic hits from the 1940’s through to the swinging 60’s for everyone to dance to.
Chandler Courts home manager Vongai Mushinga said: “This is the first Jubilee the children have really experienced, and residents loved telling their younger friends all about the traditional celebrations they have enjoyed in their lifetimes and were thrilled to be able to pass these onto the next generation.
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to Castle Nursery for joining us – we can’t wait to welcome them back for another party very soon.”
