RESIDENTS are being urged to complete a survey to outline what kind of support they need to help them through the cost-of-living crisis.
The research is being carried out by Bromsgrove District Council, a year after the authority first offered its help to those in need.
A similar survey to this one, earlier this year, asked residents what kind of help – provided by Bromsgrove District Council and its partners – was useful to them.
It also highlighted what the key issues were in the area.
The council, through the survey, wants to ensure the leaflets it produces still provides beneficial information about saving cash and what additional information residents would like.
Support has so far come through three leaflets with key details for people, including locations for free summer events during the school holiday.
This help is especially needed, given that it is likely more energy will be used in the coming months for heating and an anticipated increase in costs such as mortgage and rent.
Coun Karen May, Bromsgrove District Council leader, said, “We know a lot can happen in a year so this latest survey will give us vital information to ensure the support which is on offer is useful and most of all accessible.”
“More people are affected and will continue to be affected by rising costs.
“This includes those who don’t usually know where to start for help.”
