Rednal Hill School children 'scale Mount Everest' to raise £3,000 to buy three life-saving defibrillators

PUPILS at Rednal Hill Infant School have joined forces with the older children at the junior school to raise enough funds to buy three defibrillators.

It means each school will now be able to have one for each school and another for the local community.

The energetic youngsters held a joint ‘step-a-thon’ climbing the equivalent of steps it would take to scale Mount Everest.

A school spokesperson said: “The response from both children and adults has been fantastic and together they raised a total of over £3,000.”
